This particular resonator guitar is called RavenWolf, designed and constructed in collaboration with Paula Darmofal. The surface is wood burned and colored with stain and paints. The binding is polished aluminum to match the custom alumimun cover plate and sound holes. It features, as do all of my guitars an adjustable bridge. It is one of a kind, Resonator guitars are available in this shape, or the lute shape, in all woods with a choice of a cone or spider bridge. Binding may be wood or metal. My resonator guitars eliminate the well that connects the top to the back. I "hang" the cone from a braced top so as to achieve a crossover sound of a dobro and flat top guitar with a powerful balanced tone and exceptional sustain. The necks are carved and profiled to your specifications, including classical and flamenco set ups for nylon. This is truly a remarkable guitar for those not familiar with the range of tonal possibilities with resonator guitars. |
